Omiš, a small town at the mouth of the Cetina River. One of the hidden jewels of Croatian history. Gorges, sheer cliffs, and steep rocks provided protection throughout centuries. A town governed by the Omiš Pirates for more than 2 centuries (from 1221 to 1444). The historic city of Omiš and the magnificent Cetina Canyon offer combination of long history and remarkable landscape of coastal mountains and river valleys.
