Jeep Safari Velebit

Off road Jeep safari adventure by terrain vehicles (4x4 LR D) on Velebit mountain. Velebit is the Croatian longest mountain range (145km), proclaimed a Nature Park in 1982. We will visit its south part with untouched nature, impressive karst forms, beautiful views of Zadar archipelago in one, and Paklenica National Park and Sveto brdo on the other side.

We'll drive up to 1000 m a.s.l. to the foothills of "Tulove grede" and to the River Zrmanja Canyon, where films of legendary Indian hero – Winnetou were filmed. There will be many stops for easy walk, photo shooting and refreshments. Lunch will be served at the tipical rural household. Our guides will teach you about life of cattle-breeders who lived here on the same way for thousands of years, they will give you interesting facts about Velebit, its wildlife and more…

Velebit degenia

The symbol of the Velebit Botanical Garden is the endemic Velebit degenia in fruit, the work of renowned Croatian painter Eduard Kovačević.


Biggest mountain

Velebit is the largest mountain in Croatia and is a part of a bigger mountain chain of Dinarides stretching form the Alps, across Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to Albania.


Biggest pit

The deepest and most famous is Luka's pit (-1392 m), being 11th in the world, its bottom (water-filled siphon) being situated at only 80 m above the sea level.
