DETAILS

Nin Quad Safari. A fun and informative adventure.

If you are looking for a way to spice up your vacation in Zadar, you might want to try the Nadar Quad Safari – House of Salt in Nin and Royal vineyards tour. This tour will take you on a 3-hour off-road ride through the beautiful nature and historical sites of the region.

The tour starts in Kožino, a small village located about 10 km from Zadar. There you will meet your guide, who will provide you with all the necessary equipment and instructions on how to drive a quad bike safely. You will also get a helmet for your protection. After a short briefing, you will hop on your quad and follow your guide on an off-road adventure.

The first stop is Nin, a town that dates back to the 9th century BC and was once the seat of Croatian kings. Nin is famous for its salt pans, where salt is harvested by hand using wooden tools. You will learn about the history and the importance of salt production in this area, and you will also have a chance to buy some salt products as souvenirs. You will also see the House of Salt, a museum that showcases the salt-making process and its cultural significance.

Next, you will drive to St. Nichola’s church, a small pre-Romanesque church built in the 11th century on a hill near Nin. The church is considered to be one of the symbols of Nin and Croatia, as it was used for the coronation of Croatian kings. From there, you will have a panoramic view of Nin and its surroundings.

The last stop is the Royal vineyards, located on a hill above Petrčane. The vineyards were founded by King Peter Krešimir IV in 1066 and donated to the Benedictine monastery in Zadar. Today, they are owned by a private company that produces high-quality wines from local grape varieties such as Pošip, Maraština and Plavac Mali. You will have a guided tour of the vineyards and the cellar, where you will learn about the wine-making process and the characteristics of each wine. You will also have a wine tasting session, where you can sample four different wines and enjoy some cheese and prosciutto.

After the wine tasting, you will return to Kožino on your quad bike, following your guide on a different route. Than we will transfer you back to your acommodation. You will end your tour with a smile on your face and a lot of memories to share.
