Zadar War Tour

Zadar is a town with long history of playing a defense...Being so smartly located by the sea, with rich fertile grounds behind it was many times a victim of various conquerors. Through this route we will try to give you an overview of recent events in town's history; what sequence of events lead to a Homeland war, how Zadar was attacked, how was organized its' defense, how people lived throughout and what actions were crucial in overturning the chances...

We will start a tour at underground military bunker C-47, revitalized through Interreg project Revival. It is an amazing fact that Zadar surroundings has over 200 bunkers! You will have a chance to visit few along our route. We continue to another location with bunker located on Travičina glavica, where water tanks are hidden. From there we continue to the location where first defense action under the code name Jaguar was undertaken. This action allowed for most important location to be freed, hill Križ, our next stop. We finish the tour with another very important point, which is Dračevac.
